Vergüenza ajena

Sobre la decisión, tomada en Barcelona, de poner en los autobuses urbanos la frase: “Probablemente Dios no existe. Deja de preocuparte y disfruta la vida”, se ha escrito ya bastante desde distintos ángulos de vista; incluso ha habido respuesta  en los autobuses de otros lugares. He leído algún comentario, unos más acertados que otros, a mi parecer. Pero yo, hoy, quiero enfocarlo desde otro punto de vista: la vergüenza ajena que me produce ese “slogan” (si no fuese un insulto al leguaje, por su vulgaridad, diría más bien “esa parida”). Me explico.   Estos “genios” que han colocado la frase de marras en el transporte público, se dicen ateos, pero no parecen estar muy seguros de que Dios no exista. Dicen “probablemente”. 

Vamos a ver, señores, ¿estáis seguros o no lo estáis de que Dios exista o no? Porque si no lo estáis, no os llaméis ateos. Vuestro nombre podría ser más bien: los “indecisos”, o “los que no se aclaran”. Para decirse ateo debe uno tener la certeza (la suya) de que Dios no existe.  Pero eso de “probablemente”…

 

        Por otro lado, la segunda parte de la frase: deja de preocuparte y disfruta la vida”, yo, que creo en Dios, también la suscribo. Y lo hago precisamente en nombre de esa creencia. Dios quiere que seamos felices, que disfrutemos la vida (que para eso nos la ha dado). Dios no es un inconveniente para ser feliz o disfrutar de la vida; yo diría más bien, que él es el garante de ese disfrute.

 

        “Deja de preocuparte”. Preocuparse ¿de qué o por qué? La creencia en la existencia de Dios nunca puede ser motivo de preocupación; antes al contrario, debe ser motivo de seguridad y paz. Hablo del Dios cristiano, del Dios de Jesucristo, que es Padre, que  nos quiere y se preocupa de nosotros. Si él se preocupa por nosotros, no debemos nosotros preocuparnos. Es la mejor garantía. Yo cambiaría la frase, pero no la pondría en los autobuses, que ya llevan bastante propaganda, a veces. Yo diría:”Dios existe. Deja de preocuparte y disfruta la vida”.

 

       Los señores (y señoras) que han tenido la gran idea de la “probabilidad divina”, se han revestido de gloria. Yo, la verdad, siento vergüenza ajena por tal “patochada intelectual”. Y que se aclaren: ¿creen o no en la existencia de Dios? Aunque, ciertamente, poco nos importa lo que tales individuos puedan pensar o creer.

    El Dios que cuestiona el slogan del autobús, “probablemente”, es el que prescinde del sufrimiento de los necesitados y del de los injustamente tratados.
