Una celebración como Dios manda
He dicho “celebración litúrgica” y, por si acaso, hay que aclarar. Hablo de la liturgia como viene descrita por el Concilio Vaticano II: celebración del misterio cristiano, realización de la gloria de Dios y de la santificación de los hombres; culto al padre en el que Cristo asocia consigo a su amadísima esposa, la Iglesia; conjunto de signos sensibles del amor invisible de Dios. Nada, pues, de reduccionismos rubricistas ni de secuencia rígida de ritos. Aunque, lo digo “con temor y temblor”, no fue lo menos destacado la función de un excelente maestro de ceremonias que nos ayudó a todos para que el necesario componente ritual no fuera una fuente de preocupaciones sino una ayuda para celebrar bien.
Esto de la liturgia tiene su aquél. El Concilio Vaticano II nos ilusionó con el espaldarazo a una renovación de la celebración cristiana, que se venía incubando en la Iglesia desde años atrás. Con sus luces y sombras, se ha recorrido hasta ahora una parte del camino propuesto. Sin embargo han ocurrido dos fenómenos que inquietan el panorama. Por una parte, un cierto menosprecio de lo celebrativo, en aras de otros aspectos de la fe y, también, como rechazo del ritualismo preconciliar. Lo malo es que, lo que era comprensible en los primeros tiempos posconciliares, se prolonga hasta hoy en ciertos ambientes. En la actualidad existen, por desgracia, algunos liturgos seudoprogres de nuevo cuño, que harían bien en ir a la escuela de la celebración cristiana.
El otro fenómeno, para compensar, es el del retorno del ritualismo, si es que alguna vez se fue del todo. Me refiero a la insistencia en hacer y decir los gestos y las palabras “porque sí”, sin alma ni sentido. También aquí nos encontramos con un buen puñado de celebrantes jóvenes y, por eso, de largo porvenir, a los que vendría bien una buena zambullida en el espíritu de la liturgia renovada que el Vaticano II promovió.
En la celebración a que me referí más arriba se demostró que es posible una liturgia bien hecha: con gozo en los sentidos y calor en el corazón; sin chapuzas ni almibaramientos; con ritos de larga tradición y con espíritu joven. Casi “ná”.
