El “crack” del amor
Se habla en la actualidad de los jóvenes y hay opiniones para todos los gustos, quizá destacándose algunas visiones bastante negativas sobre los mismos. En esta ocasión traemos al blog una entrevista que acabamos de realizar a un joven de la Parroquia del Buen Pastor, de San Fernando. Da gusto encontrarse con jóvenes así que, afortunadamente, existen y hay muchos. Antonio Cornejo, un joven de hoy, define a Jesús como “el héroe del Amor; el crack de la entrega”. Merece la pena pensar en el calado de sus respuestas.
¿Cómo te “enganchaste” a la Parroquia?
Como algunos saben, mi familia paterna se crió y aún vive (mi abuelo) en Buen Pastor. Así, la parroquia, el barrio, tienen desde mi más tierna infancia un significado especial. Pero, realmente, obviando algunos contactos previos en misas salteadas, el “momento clave” llegó en el cole, en La Salle, al que debo mucho de lo que soy. Por aquel entonces mi hermano ya pertenecía a un grupo juvenil de la parroquia, pero a mí, la verdad, no me atraía demasiado. Yo iba a grupos de catequesis en La Salle. Allí me encontraba a mis amigos y jugábamos un partidito antes de entrar al grupo.
Varios días al año, mientras estábamos en clase, el delegado de pastoral del colegio se acercaba para avisar que había llegado el sacerdote para la confesión. Yo, lógicamente, bajaba como un rayo: iba a perderme una media horita de clase por hacer cola y charlar un rato. Pero Dios, que suele valerse de estas cosillas, me puso delante a nuestro querido P. Luis Aguilar. Con él confesaba mis pecadillos infantiles para después hablar de cuestiones mucho más profundas. Guardo en mi corazón cada una de esas palabras. Hablábamos de mi familia, del colegio, siempre muy interesado por mis estudios…
Un día, el P. Luis decidió dar un paso adelante, y me dijo : “Antonio, ¿por qué no pruebas con un grupo de la parroquia?”. Ya he comentado que no me hacía mucha gracia la idea, pero finalmente, con el ánimo de mi hermano y otros miembros de su grupo, decidí lanzarme… y aquí estoy, nueve años después.
¿Quién es Jesús de Nazaret para ti?
Es el héroe del Amor; el crack de la entrega. Su forma de amar te complica la vida, te interpela, te interroga,… Es un espejo que te devuelve una imagen limpia de quién eres realmente, de cómo eres, de cuáles son tus defectos, tus puntos fuertes.
Eres animador de Pastoral Juvenil, ¿cómo definirías a los jóvenes de hoy?
Yo creo que los jóvenes de hoy no son tan “chungos” como nos los pintan. Es verdad que no están bien, pero nunca lo han estado. La juventud siempre ha sido como es hoy: inconsciente, desinteresada, contestona… Hoy son más individualistas; ya no les hace falta nadie para “pasarlo bien”, les basta con un portátil e internet… Es el signo de los tiempos; el problema no es de los jóvenes, es del mundo que se les ha montado alrededor. Pero también tienen, sin duda, muchos valores.
Para unos, los jóvenes están en búsqueda de plenitud, de sentido, de valores. Para otros, la juventud actual está materializada y vacía. ¿Hay sed de Dios en la gente joven?
Hay sed. El problema es que muchos jóvenes no saben expresar bien de qué; algunos creen que lo que sienten es sed de ron… y así les va. Pero en el fondo, y en esta parroquia tenemos unos cuantos elementos que así lo demuestran, el joven tiene sed de que confíen en él, de tener algo en qué creer, alguien en quien confiar; algo que les libere del vacío mundo que les rodea. Cuando descubren que lo que tienen es sed de Dios, sus vidas cambian.
¿Qué destacarías de tu experiencia como catequista en la Parroquia?
Los jóvenes son “la caña”: te ríes con ellos, los ves crecer… Soy una persona que habla mucho, lo sé, y es que si no digo las cosas no me las termino de creer. Las catequesis me dan la posibilidad de contar cosas de Dios que a mí me dijeron hace mucho tiempo, haciéndolas de nuevo presente y actualizándolas. Y si encima les sirve a los chavales las cosas que les digo, mucho mejor. Un “feedback” como dirían algunos, ¿no?
