   Uno, en su ingenuidad, puede llegar a pensar que la manipulación informativa de los asuntos papales y de sus palabras, es fruto de una confabulación con propósitos nada honorables, como dejar en mal lugar a la jerarquía eclesiástica y por exceso a toda la iglesia. Debo confesar que he llegado a mantener esa tesis. Sin embargo, hoy tiendo más a pensar, que el tratamiento informativo que se le brinda a la Iglesía, es similar al tratamiento de otros asuntos; En muchos casos, en un número alarmante añadiría, el género periodístico de masas, se está rigiendo por normas de mercado. Una noticia es interesante para un mass media cuanto mas “vendible” sea y no importa si para hacerla apetecible en ese mercado, ha de ser “retocada”, amplificada en algunos aspectos y simplificada en otros. Por desgracia vende más la polémica, vende más, como bien dices en tu artículo la “excepcionalidad”.
   Tengo amigos que aun defienden la existencia de lobbys de distinto pelaje, que dirigen desde la “sombra” a los medios de comunicación de masas. Yo, sinceramente, no llego tan lejos, y me quedo con mi particular idea de que el “compra-vende” ha rodeado con sus tentáculos pegajosos las raices de la información periodística, sea referente al Papa o a un jugador de futbol.
   Sí veo necesario, como apuntas, que cierta información, como la eclesial, debería ser tratada por especialistas, pero…..¿sería un artículo tratado de esa forma, noticia en este mundo que nos ha tocado vivir?.

   Muchas gracias, Paco, por tu comentario. Se dice en periodismo que no es noticia que un perro muerda a un hombre, sino que el hombre muerda al perro. Hay elementos que son noticiosos y otros que no, pero eso no obsta para tener una ética, operar el contraste y buscar la veracidad.
   Creo que sí, que detrás de las empresas informativas y de los conglomerados están los intereses al servicio de las ideologías. A nosotros, se nos escapa, pero estamos en un mundo en el que los ideales se ven salpicados por el factor económico. Hay incluso empresarios que no tienen nada que ver con el campo periodístico, que lo que buscan es ganar dinero -aunque ahora, como en tantos otros ámbitos, la empresa periodística, por ejemplo, la prensa escrita tradicional, está en crisis-.
