el gualda eternizado del paisaje,
las chicharras prolongan,
sin descanso, su monocorde canto.
A las tres de la tarde,
cuando duerme el labriego y el ganado,
un azor cruza raudo
el cielo del solitario espacio,
en busca de una presa, dormida
junto al alcor de su agujero.
No ladran los perros en la granja,
ni se oye el motor de los tractores;
todos duermen la hora de la siesta
bajo la hipnosis de tantos resplandores.
Solamente el azor y las chicharras
rompen el silencio y el espacio.
