Presentación de un libro
Llamar “libro” a un Cuento, parece demasiado presuntuoso. Sin embargo el cuento que se presentó hace dos días en la Parroquia del Buen Pastor, de San Fernando (Cádiz), es más que un libro. Es una gran historia (grande por su importancia, más que por su extensión). El cuento en cuestión, del que ya he hablado en otro lugar, lleva por título: ”Lipi, de la Sierra de Cádiz a Mozambique”. Es una historia entre real e imaginada, con personajes reales, y que contiene, también, una breve reseña del Santo Damián de Molokai.
Está escrito con cariño y pasión; con motivación misionera, ya que es la historia de una misionera de los Sagrados Corazones, capaz de abandonar su tierra gaditana para embarcarse en el mundo africano, concretamente en Mozambique.
El Cuento, que como dije en la presentación, está escrito para niños, jóvenes y mayores, tiene por autor a Fernando Cordero, religioso de los SS.CC., periodista y párroco actualmente de la Parroquia del Buen Pastor, donde se hizo la presentación. Además del autor, participaron dos jóvenes, muy jóvenes, que habían tenido el privilegio de haber leído ya el cuento, y dieron su opinión sobre el mismo; una religiosa misionera, que nos habló de su experiencia en Guinea Ecuatorial; otro religioso de los ss.cc., misionero en la retaguardia, el P. Adolfo Sastre; y un servidor que fue presentando a los que intervinieron. Estuvo presente en el acto y dirigieron algunas palabras, también, el alcalde de la ciudad y la teniente alcalde, encargada del medio ambiente, recursos humanos, etc.
La asistencia fue muy buena, y muy agradable; y el acto se distinguió por su sencillez, familiaridad y buen gusto.
Me gusta decir que los cuentos son para los niños. Pero ¿quién no lleva dentro de sí el niño que fue? Por eso hay cuentos que son para los niños de seis o siete años hasta los noventa. Y este cuento es de esos.
