La crisis actual y el Reino de Dios

Tal vez alguno se haya preguntado al leer el título de este post: ¿qué tiene que ver el Reino de Dios (prefiero llamarlo “reinado de Dios”) con la crisis actual, y con todas las crisis permanentes y ancestrales que sufren tantos pueblos, familias y personas? Veamos. En primer lugar hay que dejar claro lo que se entiende por “reinado de Dios” o “Reino de Dios”. Ese reino viene definido, en síntesis, en el prefacio de la Eucaristía de la fiesta de Cristo Rey: “es el Reino de la verdad y la vida, de la santidad y la gracia, de la justicia, del amor y la paz”. Palabras que están tomadas del nº 36 de la Constitución del Concilio Vaticano II: “Lumen Gentium” (luz de los pueblos).

Que Dios reine en este mundo, equivale a que se haga la voluntad de Dios, que no puede ser otra cosa que todo lo que conduce a la felicidad de los hombres, sus hijos queridos. Por tanto, al reinado de Dios se opone frontalmente la mentira, la destrucción por la violencia, la falta de solidaridad, de amor y servicio a los necesitados, las injusticias con cualquiera, pero especialmente con los más débiles, el odio o la indiferencia, las guerras, el terrorismo, la extorsión, la avaricia de los poderosos y el afán del dinero.

Todo eso y otras cosas más, que no hace falta describir, conducen a la crisis del mundo: al hambre, al paro, a la precariedad, a la indignación. Si el mundo, los hombres, nos guiásemos por otros valores, que son los valores que vivió y enseñó Jesús (y que los tenemos plasmados en los evangelios), desaparecerían los grandes males que acarrea toda crisis, las endémicas y las coyunturales. Esos antivalores son los que hacen decir al filósofo, Hobbes, la famosa frase:”el hombre es un lobo para el hombre”.

En el mundo, por providencia de Dios, existen bienes suficientes para todos. Lo que falta es el equitativo reparto. Esa equidad se rompe por la avaricia, el egoísmo, la falta de solidaridad. El hombre está llamado a ser feliz en este mundo (dentro de la relativa felicidad posible); ese es el plan y el deseo de Dios. Pero nos empeñamos en enmendar la plana a ese Dios, bondad, misericordia y amor.

El último informe de Caritas, nos comunica que en España (por no pensar en otros países más depauperados) hay actualmente más de diez millones de pobres-pobres. Miles de familias que no tienen lo indispensable para vivir, mientras otros engrosan sus caudales.

No es fácil hacerse rico, sin abusar del pobre. Pero, incluso, si fuera posible enriquecerse sin mediar la injusticia, seguiría siendo necesario el compartir. Cuando yo estudiaba, los profesores nos decían que la moral cristiana afirma que en caso de extrema necesidad, los bienes son comunes. Y así debe ser, aunque algunos se los apropien en exclusividad, sin tener en cuenta al otro. ¿No será eso, parte de lo que se llama la “ley de la selva”? ¿Creemos  de verdad en la fraternidad universal, o es una bella frase, ausente de contenido?

Por todo ello se puede afirmar que hay una relación entre las “crisis” y el Reino de Dios.
