De nuevo el “DOMUND”
Sí, de nuevo llaga esta fecha, ya clásica, que viene a recordarnos alguna de las obligaciones que tenemos como seguidores de Jesús. El Domund, el día de las Misiones, es una nueva oportunidad que la Iglesia nos facilita, para sentirnos misioneros con los misioneros, y evangelizadores con los que evangelizan. Es también una oportunidad para solidarizarnos con los pueblos que no han recibido todavía el mensaje de Jesús y su buena noticia, el Evangelio.
Si estimamos el hecho de tener fe, debemos desear que otros puedan llegar, también, a tenerla; que otros puedan tener la suerte de vivir según las enseñanzas y ejemplos de Jesús. Es una manera, por nuestra parte, de agradecer ese don tan grande y tan gratuito.
Si somos responsables, la celebración de Domund, nos tiene que llevar a varias cosas: Sentirnos solidarios e interpelados por la necesidad de la evangelización de los que no conocen a Jesús y su evangelio; sentirnos solidarios con los misioneros y misioneras, que trabajan en primera fila, en tierras y países difíciles; necesidad de oración frecuente por estos temas; y, en la medida de lo posible, ayudar económicamente, ya que, a pesar de la crisis, vivimos mil veces mejor que los del tercer mundo, que suelen ser los destinatarios principales de las misiones.
Nuestra aportación económica, tal vez no pueda ser muy grande (no olvidemos que muchos pocos llegan a formar un mucho). Pero sobre todo, no esperemos que los países más ricos acudan en ayuda de esas personas, a no ser para explotarlas más. Hay un refrán que dice: “Una boca llena, no puede hablar”. No son los satisfechos, los que más se van a acordar de los indigentes. El pobre suele ser más solidario que el rico, porque conoce las privaciones propias y las de los demás.
Que no pase este Domund, desapercibido, sin inquietarnos la conciencia, y sin hacer lo que podamos en cualquiera de las invitaciones que se nos hacen en este día. Una manera de agradecer al Señor la fe que guía nuestras vidas, es cooperar a que otros lleguen también a tener esa fe en Cristo Jesús Salvador.
Este año, el lema del Domund reza así: fe+caridad=misión. Es bien claro y bien profundo. La fe sin caridad es falsa; la caridad sin fe, es simple humanismo. Ambas se complementan, y ambas nos conducen a la misión, que es evangelizar, llevar a Cristo y su Evangelio a los que carecen de ellos.
El Papa Francisco, en su mensaje para la Jornada Mundial de las Misiones, dice: “Una comunidad es adulta cuando profesa la fe, la celebra con alegría, vive la caridad, y proclama la Palabra de Dios”. Y continúa: “Todo el mundo debería poder experimentar la alegría de ser amado por Dios, el gozo de la salvación. Y es un don que no se puede conservar para uno mismo, sino que debe ser compartido. Si queremos guardarlo para nosotros mismos, nos convertiremos en cristianos aislados, estériles y enfermos. El anuncio del Evangelio es parte del ser discípulo de Cristo, y es un compromiso constante que anima toda la vida de la Iglesia”
