Festividad del “Corpus Christi”
De los tres jueves que en el año relucían más que el sol, ya solo nos queda uno: el Jueves Santo. La festividad del Corpus, tradicionalmente celebradas el jueves correspondiente, ha pasado al domingo siguiente, salvo en alguna de las ciudades (Granada, Toledo, Sevilla) por especial privilegio.
Esta es una de las fiestas más populares y que se celebra con más participación. En algunos lugares el exorno de las calles por donde pasa la procesión con el Santísimo, está muy cuidado, y contribuye a darle mayor esplendor y belleza.
La fiesta, de la Eucaristía, propiamente dicha, sería el Jueves Santo, fecha de su institución. Pero es un día mezclado con los tintes de la Pasión ya cercana. Por eso se puso esta otra fiesta, para conmemorar y ensalzar a la eucaristía, presencia real y misteriosa (sacramental) de Cristo resucitado, en el pan y el vino.
En San Fernando (Cádiz), “esta solemnidad debió conmemorarse desde que hubo una parroquia en la Isla de León, pero ignoramos detalles y circunstancias. Su carácter oficial, con implicación de las autoridades civiles y militares, se inició probablemente con la formación del municipio en 1766. La primera mención a esta festividad en las actas capitulares data de 1770. A partir de entonces, la procesión contó con la presencia inveterada del Ayuntamiento y de las autoridades navales, salvo en épocas históricas de circunstancias políticas adversas durante las que no salió”.
Desde hace unos años, se nombra con tiempo una Comisión para preparar con suficiente tiempo los eventos que con motivo de la festividad, se celebran a nivel de ciudad, durante toda la semana: charlas, mesas redondas, autos sacramentales, exaltación de la Eucaristía, etc…
Este año, un joven de nuestra parroquia del Buen Pastor, Manu, participa en una mesa redonda, donde expondrá la actuación que durante todos los sábados del curso, realizan los jóvenes de nuestra Parroquia, con los niños del barrio, y que lleva por título: “Juego de Niños”.
En la misma parroquia, y en los días que preceden a la Fiesta, se ha presentado el libro escrito por Félix González, sobre la Eucaristía, y que lleva por título: “La última cena” (Pascua judía y Pascua cristiana).
