La fiesta del Corpus, a medias
Este domingo (en algunos lugares el jueves, como privilegio) celebramos el Día del Corpus Christi. En algunos lugares se celebró el jueves, por un privilegio especial. Pero, como indico en el título de este post, lo celebramos a medias.
Juntamente con la fiesta de la Eucaristía, celebramos el día de la Caridad. Y es que Eucaristía y amor fraterno, no pueden ir separados. La caridad y el amor se funden en una única realidad. La Eucaristía es la mayor y mejor expresión del amor de Jesús a los hombres.
Por eso, celebrar el día del Corpus, y olvidar el día de la Caridad, es celebrarlo a medias, como se indica en el título que encabeza este post.
En este día, Jesús-Eucaristía recorre, en procesión, las calles de todos nuestros pueblos y ciudades. Habrá devoción, y regocijo, y fiesta.
Pero para poder celebrar plenamente, y con sentido, ese día, tendríamos que organizar, además, otras procesiones. Deberíamos recorrer las calles, buscando a los “sin-techo”, a los olvidados; y visitar las casas de tantos con techo, pero sin agua, o sin luz, o sin comida para el día siguiente. Y tratando de aportarles lo poco o mucho que pudiésemos, además del cariño y la comprensión. Caritas nos recuerda que la justicia y la caridad se besan.
Caritas, también nos interroga con esa pregunta:¿Qué haces con tu hermano? Y si no estás dispuesto a hacer nada, no celebres el Corpus, porque los pobres, son también, “cuerpo de Cristo”.
Pasear por las calles, acompañando la Eucaristía, o contemplarlo al pasar, desde la acera, es relativamente fácil, y no nos trae ningún esfuerzo, ni nos supone ninguna renuncia. Buscar o visitar al indigente, supone y exige mucho amor.
¿Dispuestos a celebrar el Corpus en su totalidad? ¿Dispuestos a fomentar, y poner en práctica la otra procesión?
