¿Qué vas a hacer, Señor, cuando yo muera?
Hace unos días, he recibido de una amiga, unos versos de uno de los mejores poetas en lengua alemana, nacido en Bohemia: Rainer Mª Rilke. He creído conveniente hacer un muy breve comentario a sus versos. Estos son los versos, y mi breve comentario:
¿Qué vas a hacer, Señor, cuando yo muera?
Yo soy tu cántaro (¿y cuando me rompa?)
Soy tu bebida (¿y cuando me vierta?)
Yo soy tu vestidura, soy tu oficio,
y perdiéndome a mí, pierdes sentido.
Después de mí, no tendrás casa en la que
te saluden palabras íntimas y cálidas.
Y de tus pies cansados
se caerá la sandalia de seda que yo soy.
Tu manto se soltará de ti.
Y tu mirada, que acogen mis mejillas
blandamente, me buscará
sin tiempo, y al final de la tarde
se echará en el regazo de piedras ignoradas.

Magnífica reflexión de este poeta, que pregunta a Dios qué va a hacer cuando muera. ¡Gran problema para Dios! ”¿Qué harás, Señor, entonces? Tengo miedo”.
El miedo es inherente al hombre; y lo desconocido (en este caso, la muerte y el futuro) produce fácilmente ese miedo. Pero Dios no tiene miedo; se arriesga con nosotros, aunque sabe bien que le podemos fallar. ¡Gracias, Señor, por apostar por el hombre, que es como apostar por un caballo cojo!
