La locura del mundo
Cuando nos cuentan o nos enteramos de algún hecho trágico o monstruoso, de los muchos que ocurren en el mundo, a diario, solemos exclamar:”El mundo está loco”. Y al decir “mundo” nos referimos a las personas que habitamos esta tierra.
Tal vez, el mundo siempre haya estado un tanto loco, porque la historia nos lo recuerda. Y desde que tenemos memoria del pasado, sabemos que las guerras fratricidas, los abusos, la envidia y todos los pecados capitales se han dado en los individuos, en las familias y en la sociedad.
Pero cabe preguntarse, si en nuestros días, no es mayor esa locura. Lo que sí es cierto, es que la mente humana ha inventado nuevos medios de tortura colectiva: los nuevos armamentos, la potencia de las bombas, y otros medios de destrucción masiva.
El abandono de los más débiles alcanza proporciones trágicas. Pensemos en toda esa gente, atrapada en la guerra de Siria, o en los emigrantes, no atendidos por las naciones más ricas, hacinados, de mala manera, en campos de refugiados, a medio comer, pasando el frio del invierno, carentes del mínimo necesario para una vida humana. O el número de niños que mueren por carecer de alimentos, etc…
Y todo ello, contemplado desde a pasividad y la indiferencia de los países que pudieran llevar solución a sus problemas.
Pero es muy cómodo, quejarse de esas situaciones, y achacar la culpa a los países ricos. Pero ¿no habrá alguna responsabilidad, también, para los grupos, las instituciones y los individuos?
¡Con qué fuerza, con qué interés, se hacen manifestaciones cuando hay alguna injusticia que nos atañe personalmente o a un grupo concreto! Pero ¡qué falta de sensibilidad cuando se trata de otros!, sobre todo si su situación no nos perjudica!
Y es que los problemas de los demás no nos llegan más allá de la epidermis.
