(Se hizo hombre y acampó entre nosotros)
Hoy, la lectura del Evangelio de la Misa del día, está tomada del Prólogo del Evangelio de San Juan, y es una de las piezas más hermosas, que nos centra el sentido de la fiesta de hoy, en que celebramos el Nacimiento de Jesús, en nuestro mundo; el Emmanuel (“Dios- con- nosotros”, o “Dios- entre- nosotros”).
-en este texto, se repite muchas veces: “la Palabra”. En el principio ya existía la “Palabra”; y la ”Palabra” estaba junto a Dios; y la “Palabra” era Dios. La “Palabra”, en el principio, estaba junto a Dios. Por medio de la “Palabra” se hizo todo. En la “Palabra” había vida. Y la “Palabra” se hizo hombre, y acampó entre nosotros.
¿A quién se refiere esa “Palabra”? Al Hijo de Dios, que ya existía desde el principio, como el Padre y el Espíritu Santo. Y era Dios, y se hizo hombre en el seno de María: Jesús. Que vino a los hombres y no quisieron recibirlo. Que puso su tienda entre nosotros (“acampó entre nosotros”); se hizo semejante a nosotros, los hombres.
¿Por qué, Juan, llama a Jesús, la “Palabra”? Cuando alguien quiere comunicar algo, normalmente utiliza la palabra, porque es el medio más claro para comunicarse. Puede uno comunicarse por gestos, pero es más difícil de entender. Dios Padre quería comunicarse con el hombre, quería decirle unas cuantas cosas importantes para su vida. En la antigüedad había hablado por medio de acontecimientos. Pero cuando quiso expresarse con toda claridad, envió a su propio Hijo, para hablarnos por medio de él. Por eso, al Hijo de Dios, Juan le llama “Palabra”
Pero lo importante de estas afirmaciones del evangelista, es lo que dice, también: Que Jesús (la Palabra de Dios) vino al mundo, y el mundo se lo cargó; no quiso recibirlo. Era la luz verdadera, pero las tinieblas no la recibieron.
Hoy es un día para el agradecimiento, por esta decisión de Dios a favor de toda la humanidad. Día de alegría porque Dios quiso compartir su vida, y su enseñanza con nosotros a través de su Palabra, hecha Dios y Hombre: Jesús.
