VI. Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario
(Se os ha dicho hasta ahora… pero yo os digo)
Uno de los capítulos más hermosos y más exigentes, que encuentro en el evangelio es el que leemos en este domingo. Hermoso, porque las palabras de Jesús pone en su sitio lo que debía ser cambiado según las condiciones del Reino. Y exigente, porque hay que cambiar de mentalidad para poder asumir la nueva conducta; y sobre todo, hay que cambiar el corazón. Tal vez se trata de hacer realidad lo que dice la Escritura:”Cambiar el corazón de piedra, en un corazón de carne” (Ezequiel, 11, 19).
Dice Jesús: “Yo no he venido a destruir la Ley”. Se refiere a la Ley de los judíos, dada por Moisés, el gran legislador de Antiguo Testamento Y añade: “No he venido a destruirla sino a cambiarla, a perfeccionarla”. Y por eso repite tantas veces: “Se os ha dicho, hasta ahora, esto o aquello, pero yo os digo esto otro”.
Hasta la llegada de Jesús aquella Ley, dada por Moisés, había servido a los judíos para organizar su vida social y religiosa, durante varios siglos. Pero ahora había llegado un nuevo Moisés, un nuevo legislador que debía cambiar muchas cosas, porque las de entonces estaban superadas por un nuevo estilo de vivir, según la voluntad de Dios, que Jesús venía a enseñarnos, con su palabra y su vida, y que lo llamaría el “Reino de Dios”.
Se os ha dicho: “no matarás”, no cometerás adulterio, no jurarás en falso;
Pero, para Jesús, eso no es suficiente, hay que llegar más lejos. Por ejemplo, para comportarnos como hermanos, “no basta con no matar, es necesario evitar la violencia, la agresividad, el desprecio al otros, los insultos o as venganzas”. Por eso dice Jesús que ha venido a completar, a perfeccionar, la ley. A darle verdadero sentido dentro del nuevo estilo que traía Jesús. De alguna manera es como asar de la ley de la selva al mundo de la convivencia pacífica y fraterna. Dios quiere que hagamos un mundo, conforme a como lo ha soñado él; donde las personas podamos vivir felices, haciendo, también, felices a los demás.
