(Jesús le dijo: dame de beber)
Jesús va camino de Jerusalén. Los apóstoles se han quedado en Sicar para hacer las compras necesarias para el camino, porque aún quedaba buen trecho hasta Jerusalén. Jesús, cansado, se quedó descansando en el llamado pozo de Jacob, sentado en el pretil. Al cabo de un tiempo, llega una mujer con su cántaro, a sacar agua del pozo.
Hay que tener presente que los samaritanos, habitantes de aquel país, de Samaría, y los judíos no se trataban, eran enemigos, a causa de una serie de circunstancias históricas, y por tener distinta religión. Por eso la mujer samaritana que llega junto al pozo, con su cántaro, para sacar agua, se extraña de que Jesús le pida de beber. Pero Jesús contraataca. Tenía sed física, porque había caminado mucho por caminos polvorientos; pero tenía, sobre todo, sed de que aquella mujer descubriese el “don de Dios”. La mujer le niega el agua y le da la razón: los dos pueblos judíos y samaritanos no se hablan. Y se entabla un diálogo entre los dos, que desemboca en descubrir la mujer que tal vez aquel judío podría ser el Mesías. Le ha adivinado su vida. Y se convierte en la mejor propagandista, invitando a todo el pueblo a que se acerque hasta donde está Jesús.
Es un buen ejemplo de cómo aquel que haya descubierto en su vida a Jesús, debe convertirse en un apóstol que, de distintas formas, debe llevar a otros a encontrarse, también, con el Señor. A veces con palabras, otras con el ejemplo de su vidas, sobre todo con la misericordia, la caridad y el servicio.
Cuando nos han dado una gran noticia, una noticia muy importante, estamos deseando encontrar a alguien, a quien comunicársela. Así es como el creyente, que, de verdad, ha encontrado a Cristo, no puede menos de tratar de ayudar a otros, a encontrarlo, también.
El Evangelio es una “buena noticia; vivámoslo, y ayudemos a que otros lo vivan igualmente.
