Domingo V de Cuaresma
(Tu hermano resucitará)
Jesús, siempre que podía iba a visitar a aquellos tres hermanos: María, Marta y Lázaro, porque eran muy buenos amigos, y vivían muy cerca de Jerusalén, en la ciudad de Betania. El hermano, Lázaro, se puso enfermo y en pocos días murió. Antes de que muriese las hermanas enviaron a alguien que avisase a Jesús de la gravedad de su amigo. Pero Jesús no se apresuró a ir. Solamente cuando murió fue a Betania. Una de las hermanas le dijo al llegar: “Si hubieras estado aquí no habría muerto mi hermano”. Jesús la contestó: “Tu hermano resucitará”. Y así fue. Ante un grupo de gente, amigos de los hermanos, y curiosos, Jesús, dirigiéndose a la tumba donde ya estaba enterrado hacía unos días, con voz potente, gritó:”Lázaro, sal fuera”. Y Lázaro salió de la tumba, por su propio pie.
Cuando Jesús dice a Marta:”tu hermano resucitará”, Marta le responde: “Sé que resucitará al final de los tiempos”. No creía que Jesús pudiese resucitarlo ya. Y Jesús le responde: “Yo soy la resurrección y la vida”. Jesús tiene poder para devolver a la vida, a quien la ha perdido. Hay tres cosas que me gusta resaltar de este relato evangélico.
Primero: Jesús es muy humano, y siente alegría y tristeza. Aquí le vemos llorando por la muerte de su amigo, lo cual significa una gran sensibilidad. Lo segundo es que Jesús sabe mantener y gozar de la amistad. Dice el relato que la gente que le vio llorar, comentaba:”cómo le quería”. Sabía conservar la amistad en los momentos buenos y en los malos. Aparece como una persona fiel a las amistades. Y en tercer lugar, al afirmar “yo soy la resurrección y la vida”, nos indica que el que no cuenta en su vida con él, carece de la verdadera vida y de una verdadera resurrección en vida. Algo fundamental le falta.
Jesús es el hombre perfecto, y tenerlo como referente en la vida, es algo que nos ayuda a ser más felices. Además de que podemos encontrar más sentido, tanto a la vida, como a la muerte.
