El ‘run-run’ del autobús
Hay un ‘run-run’ informativo por el que algunos temas vienen y van, aparecen, destellan y se evaporan en los medios de comunicación. En la información religiosa, como en otros campos especializados, también “salta” un determinado asunto por un espacio de tiempo más o menos prolongado. Uno de esos temas emergentes, que está originando cierta expectación mediática, es el de la incursión de una experimentada publicidad en autobuses urbanos de varias capitales españolas con el eslogan: “Probablemente Dios no existe. Deja de preocuparte y disfruta de la vida”.
Con lo variadas que son las campañas publicitarias, me llama la atención que esta campaña, patrocinada por asociaciones ateas, esté suscitando tanta repercusión. O quizá no tanto. Dios sigue siendo noticia de algún modo: su presencia o ausencia continúa dando que hablar en nuestro tiempo, en esta modernidad líquida de principios poco sólidos y de infinitos deseos de una felicidad aparentemente inalcanzable.
Me gustaría fijarme en el segundo mensaje del eslogan: “Deja de preocuparte y disfruta de la vida”. Ahí está, para mí, el meollo del mensaje, no tanto en la negación de la existencia de Dios, cuanto en esa llamada a disfrutar, despreocuparse, “pasar”… El eslogan podría haber sido todavía más descarado: “Dios eres tú mismo. Disfruta de lo que te apetezca”. Detrás de la campaña y de la ideología que encierra, se esconde un profundo egocentrismo enmascarado en legítimos deseos de plenitud y felicidad. ¿Podría alguien ser feliz cerrándose sólo a sus propios disfrutes? Si desapareciera Dios y lo que implica del panorama mundial, ¿seríamos realmente felices?
Pronto ha surgido una nueva contra-publicidad: “Dios sí existe. Disfruta de la vida en Cristo”. No sé si es necesaria una acción a la contra, con relevancia exterior bajo los canales publicitarios. Mejor sería que los creyentes mostráramos, en las mil oportunidades de nuestro día a día, la felicidad que nos da Dios comprometiéndonos con los que necesitan ser felices: los que están sin casa, los limitados por la enfermedad, los desorientados, los adolescentes sin rumbo… ¡Qué revolucionaria una campaña en la que se distribuyera una pegatina invisible, que se colocaran muchas personas, adherida a nuestro interior con una invitación: “Si me necesitas, cuenta conmigo”!
Esta publicidad apunta directamente al triste mensaje que ha ido calando sobre lo tedioso que es ser cristiano. La Buena Noticia y su consiguiente alegría siempre son para las dos partes. El emisor y el receptor, el que ve al hermano y le hace justicia, y a quien le restituyen su derecho porque es hermano.
Respecto a la revolucionaria pegatina que dijera: “Si me necesitas, cuenta conmigo”; añadiría: porque, de otro modo, no voy a poder vivir en paz.
DOS NO DISCUTEN SI UNO NO QUIERE
La polémica nacida por la publicidad en los autobuses de ateos y cristianos me resulta artificial. Siendo profundamente cristiano estoy plenamente de acuerdo con el anuncio de que el dios que produce preocupación, que impide disfrutar de la vida, lo más probable es que no exista y nunca lo haya hecho, es creación humana. ¿Cómo va el autor de la vida a impedirnos disfrutar de la misma? Sería lo más ridículo. Nuestros hermanos ateos y librepensadores nos ayudan a purificar la imagen que tenemos de Dios y esta colaboración nunca se la agradecemos suficientemente. En cambio, el Dios que nos hace disfrutar de la vida, sí existe. ¡Claro que sí!, y se manifiesta en la vida plena y feliz de Jesús de Nazareth, el modelo de hombre. Nunca tenemos que olvidar que la gloria de Dios es la felicidad de los hombres.
