Texto y glosa del “Padre Nuestro”
Padre nuestro.
Primero “padre”, o “Abba” en el lenguaje del mismo autor. Padre suena a seguridad, a desvelo y trabajo a favor de los hijos, a vida compartida, a bondad, y a añoranza si llega a faltar.
“Nuestro” significa compartir, tener en común, fraternidad, familia.
Que estás en el cielo.
Prefiero pensar que no “estás” en el cielo, sino que Tú eres el cielo:”que eres un cielo”. Porque el cielo no es un lugar donde se está; el cielo es estar junto a Dios, en Dios.
Santificado sea tu nombre.
Lo de “tu nombre” debe querer decir tu imagen, tu ser. El nombre es lo de menos. La Biblia (que es tu Palabra) te invoca y llama con muchos nombres distintos: Él, Adonai, Elohim, Yahvé, El Shadai…
“Ser santificado” supongo que quiere decir que Tú seas respetado, no sólo el nombre sino también tus designios, tu voluntad, tus caminos tantas veces no coincidentes con los nuestros…. Santificar sería declarar a una persona “santa” (la iglesia lo llama “canonizar”); pero Tú no necesitas declararte santo, Tú eres el “tres veces santo”.
Venga a nosotros tu Reino.
Tu Reino, no. Más bien “tu reinado”. Tenerte a Ti por rey, es garantizar en el mundo la bondad y la belleza. Es vivir en la paz, la justicia, el amor, la felicidad, la hermandad universal… Que venga ya, que se adelante el momento, para que nos llegue también a “nosotros”, los que vivimos en la actualidad suspirando por ese momento.
Hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo.
¿No será mucho pedirte, Señor? En el cielo todos están pendientes de tu voluntad; que, por otra parte, no será sino el querer que todos sean felices. Y seguro que se cumple, a la perfección, tu voluntad; seguro que todos son felices plenamente.
Pero, “aquí en la tierra” es muy distinto. No se hace tu voluntad y por eso no todos, o casi ninguno, es feliz. Aquí la voluntad de cada uno no coincide siempre con la tuya. Y así nos va. Eso tan grande que le diste al hombre, y que se llama “libertad”, es lo que suele romper tus planes.¡Oh libertad, libertad!
Danos, hoy, nuestro pan de cada día.
No nos des el de mañana y los días siguientes. Cada día el suyo. Nos fiamos de tu Providencia que no nos fallará. Si nos das más de lo que necesitamos, corremos el peligro de querer amontonar, como nos pasa con el dinero. Y siempre que uno acapara, es a costa de los demás. Por eso el mundo anda tan mal y tan injusto. Parece que nos va a faltar, pero no nos damos cuenta de que así les falta a otros; o nos damos cuenta, sí, pero no nos importa. Señor, sólo el de cada día
Perdona nuestras ofensas como nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden.
Perdónanos, sí. Cuantas veces caigamos. Confiamos en tu misericordia y compasión. Pero no tomes en serio esta petición; no nos perdones como perdonamos nosotros a los que nos ofenden, no. ¡Estaríamos buenos! Nosotros no sabemos o no queremos hacerlo bien. ¡Perdonamos, pero no olvidamos del todo! Tú sí que pasas página. ¡Gracias, Padre, por tu generoso y constante perdón!
No nos dejes caer en la tentación, y líbranos del mal.
La tentación siempre está cercana, en el pensamiento, en las palabras y en las obras.
Siempre. Y además, casi siempre tiene aspecto agradable, atractivo; y suele ser muy convincente. Por todo eso es tan peligrosa y tentadora. Por eso te pido que “no nos dejes caer en ella”. Tú que eres “el fuerte”, haznos fuertes para no caer, o en el peor de los casos, para levantarnos nuevamente.
“Y líbranos del mal”, del maligno. Sobre todo cuando se acerca con cara bonita, con aspecto de bondad o de verdad, pero en el fondo es maldad y mentira. Ya dijiste Tú aquello de “lobos vestidos con piel de cordero”. Tenemos un refrán que dice:”del agua mansa me libre Dios, que de la brava me libro yo”. Señor, no nos dejes caer en la tentación y líbranos del mal.
Lo que más me seduce del Padre Nuestro es que está siempre conjugado en plural.
Nunca nos concebirá Dios separados, se dirige a nosotros como la reunión de los que viven, aunque vivamos desconcertados, y muestra el perdón como la dimensión perdida para lograr la fraternidad. Dios, si se lo pedimos, es quién nos librará del mal de hecho creemos en que ya nos ha librado, ya nos ha perdonado, ya nos ha reunido y ya nos ha salvado.
A nuestra existencia le concierne vivir en su Reino, habitando el Reino con cada experiencia de fraternidad que nos remite a Dios.
