No sé si te gustan los CUENTOS. A mí, sí. Y de vez en cuando ideo uno, sólo para mí. Pero esta vez, sin que sirva de precedente, te lo ofrezco en primicia. Si te animas a leerlo, ya seremos dos.
El Río que no quiso llegar al Mar
Apoyado en el quicio de mi ventana, casi absorto, contemplo cómo el río se desliza majestuoso, sin prisa, dosificando el tiempo. De vez en cuando, en alguna de sus muchas vueltas y revueltas, parece remansarse para observar con más detenimiento el paisaje, cuyas márgenes riega, generoso y placentero.
Pero no; nunca se detiene ni remansa. Tal vez sea un simple engaño óptico, o el deseo de verlo sosegado, inmóvil, recreándose en las orillas, cuajadas de diminutas margaritas, blancas y amarillas, nacidas al socaire del suave vientecillo que mueve juguetón las verdes briznas, o las hojas secas, caídas de los álamos gigantes que se reflejan en las aguas calmosas que van como dormidas, acunadas por el monótono y monocorde croar de las ranas de los charcos.
Dicen las abuelas, que todavía van, de vez en cuando, a lavar sus refajos en la orilla, que el río va despacio porque no quiere llegar al mar, tan grande, tan violento a veces, tan salado siempre. Sabe que si llega al mar, tendrá que diluirse en sus aguas, en sus olas portadoras de arenas o de algas, en su va-y-ven marinero; como una marioneta, sin movimientos propios y sin propia libertad. Sabe que perderá la imagen, impresa en sus entrañas, de todos los paisajes, de todas las riberas, de todos los pueblos con sus casitas muy blancas y sus tejados muy rojos. Y hasta tendrá que olvidar el trino de los pájaros enamorados o el gorjeo ruidoso de los alevines que celebran la llegada de la primavera.
Y este río que ahora veo pasar majestuoso, apoyado en el quicio de mi ventana, irá a perderse en el mar, y ya no será más un río; se perderá en la inmensidad. Dejará de ser un río andariego entre helechos y arbustos. Será mar o será océano. Y obedecerá a la luna en sus caprichosas y repetidas mareas, y perderá su nombre y su apellido, y sólo será historia escrita en el abismo de corales.
Acaso tenga suerte, y encontrará una sirena, alegre y juguetona, con quien jugar con conchas de la playa, o con alguna vieja caracola hecha de nácar retorcida.
El mar es el rebujo de muchos ríos que llegaron con ansia de grandeza, para pasar, para siempre, al simple anonimato, sin nombre propio, sin personalidad, sin las imágenes del camino recorrido. Así transcurre la vida y las historias del flujo de los ríos. Y es bueno recordar aquí los versos del poeta:”nuestras vidas son los ríos que van a dar a la mar, que es el morir”.
Pero conozco un río que no quiso perder su idiosincrasia; que quiso seguir siendo siempre él mismo. Que no quiso morir, desamparado y solo, en el abismo del mar. Y que, después de correr por las praderas, y después de luchar contra las trochas, y de arrastrar mil cantos rodados por su lecho, se fue a morir él solo, en un bello paraje, salpicado de rojas amapolas y nardos olorosos. Y allí formó su lago transparente, el lago de sus sueños, el que siempre quiso. Y allí duerme este río singular, sin que nadie le asuste o le moleste. Allí sueña, las noches del estío, con las estrellas que se reflejan en sus aguas y que el viento mece. Allí se posa, muy señora, la luna de oropel. Pero nadie sabe que aquel lago de plata, fruto de un deseo, fue primero un río inconformista, que olía a tomillo, a hierbabuena y a albahaca, en sus laderas.

¡Hola, Susana! Contexto a tu pregunta. No, no es mi lago, mi blog. El blog sería más bien el río. Por él voy caminando, como el río, por distintos géneros literarios. Escribir es, un poco, mi pasión. Pero no quiero formar mi propio lago. Prefiero correr el riesgo de confrontar mi pensamiento con otros, aún a riesgo de no ser comprendido o de ser malinterpretdo. Me gusta ser río, recorrer los valles de la vida, admirar , a mi paso, la belleza, y guardar en mi corazón el último trino de los pájaros o el color de los ojos de todos los que se miran en mis aguas.
Precioso (no escribiré bonito…jeje) y alentador riesgo el que comentas. Arriesgarse a no ser entendido o a ser malinterpretado es, desde mi poca experiencia, vivir. Ni mas ni menos, que dirían Los Chichos. Los rios no pueden evitar ser reflejo del cielo, Felix. ¿Puedes acaso tú, evitar ser reflejo de Xto? Te lo escribe con cariño, uno que a veces gusta mirarse en tus aguas, en aquellas que dejas correr en las homilias dominicales y en alguna y siempre corta conversación.
