El sábado pasado, día 25, estuve en la celebración de una “profesión religiosa” que es como llamamos a la consagración de unos jóvenes en la vida religiosa, por medio de los votos de Castidad, Pobreza y Obediencia. Eran cuatro: dos muchachos y dos muchachas, jóvenes, pero no adolescentes.
Terminados sus dos o tres años de pre-noviciado y noviciado, tiempo de reflexión y experiencia de vida religiosa, se consagraban a Dios, para vivir su compromiso en la Congregación de los Sagrados Corazones.
De momento, y como exige la Iglesia, hacen su consagración por un tiempo de tres años, aunque se entiende que en su intención es para siempre. Después vendrán los votos perpetuos.
Hoy día, que resulta tan difícil tomar compromisos duraderos, sobre todo a los jóvenes, no cabe duda que es algo que merece la pena destacar.
La celebración, en el marco de una iglesia del siglo XV, y con la presencia de varios cientos de personas, resultó muy emotiva. Los cuatro emitieron sus votos con serenidad, como quien lo ha meditado largo tiempo y sabe a lo que se compromete. Después pidieron, públicamente, fuerzas al Señor y su Evangelio, para vivir con fidelidad su compromiso.
En la fórmula que usaron se decía: “Hago votos de Castidad, Pobreza y Obediencia en la Congregación de los Sagrados Corazones, en cuyo servicio quiero vivir y morir”.
“Vivir y morir”, es hacer donación de toda la vida. Precisamente, el lema del carisma de la Congregación reza así: “Contemplar, Vivir y Anunciar el amor de Dios, manifestado en Jesús”. ¡Hermoso proyecto! Antes de vivirlo, hay que contemplarlo para empaparse bien de ese amor de Dios, y después hay que anunciarlo.
