La razón de la “sin razón”
Con motivo de la beatificación de los mártires del siglo XX, y al mismo tiempo, se reunían en varias ciudades españolas otros grupos o sub-grupos, reivindicando el derecho a ser reconocidos públicamente los muertos en el tiempo del franquismo, por sus ideas políticas. Nadie les puede negar su derecho a protestar por lo que consideran que fue una injusticia, una masacre y una acción revanchista. Pero debe quedar claro que aquello era por motivos políticos, no religiosos.
Pero, señores, que no se confunda “la velocidad con el tocino”, ni se mezclen “las churras con las merinas” (son expresiones castizas muy usadas).
En la beatificación de los mártires se ha tenido buen cuidado de no llamarlos mártires de la guerra civil, porque ellos no estaban en guerra, ni su muerte tiene un sentido político. Por eso se les ha llamado “mártires del siglo XX”. Los beatificados murieron y fueron asesinados por defender su fe cristiana, por creer en Dios, por tratar de seguir a Jesús de Nazaret. Nada de eso tiene que ver con la política.
¿Qué daño estaban haciendo? Eran obispos, sacerdotes, religiosos y religiosas, laicos comprometidos con su fe. Lo único que se les puede achacar es la de hacer el bien.
¿Por qué los mataron? Por odio a Dios y a la religión. Y por no querer renunciar a sus convicciones religiosas. Por tanto, su martirio no tiene nada que ver con la guerra civil, aunque fuese precisamente en ese tiempo cuando el odio a la religión se manifestó de manera violenta.
Por eso, digo que no tiene sentido que esos grupos a que me he referido hagan sus manifestaciones coincidiendo con la beatificación, como queriendo protestar sin una razón, a no ser la simple sin-razón. Muchos que gritas:¡libertad”, son los que coartan e impiden esa libertad a los demás (libertad religiosa, entre otras).
Muchas religiosas o religiosos que fueron masacrados, estaban atendiendo a los enfermos en los hospitales, a los niños deficientes, a los ancianos. Otros estaban educando a la juventud, sacándolos de la ignorancia, otros predicaban la misericordia, el perdón, la buena confianza, el amor de Dios a todos. ¿Dónde está el mal?
Pero ya dijo Jesús, que sus seguidores serán signo de contradicción, y serían perseguidos, como él mismo lo fue.
¿Por qué siguen matando a los cristianos en Egipto, en Siria, en otros muchos países? ¿Por qué fueron martirizados los 522 en España?
Hace falta ser ignorantes, o estar ciegos por el odio y la venganza, para considerar el hecho de la beatificación, como un acto de carácter político. Pero hay personas que siguen teniendo una venda, no sólo en los ojos, sino, sobre todos, en el corazón, para no ver la verdad.
