“Las obras del amor”
Ramón Mera ss.cc., conocedor de lecturas teológicas y literarias siempre sugerentes, nos invitaba a los religiosos en nuestra revista provincial a que leyéramos Las obras del amor de Sören Kirkegaard, ese pensador religioso colosal.
Me ha parecido estupendo este trozo que extraígo de la lectura:
“¡Sí, gracias a Dios, el amor permanece! Por mucho que sea lo que el mundo te arrebate, aunque sea lo más querido; por mucho que sea lo que haya de acaecerte en la vida; por más que llegaras a sufrir por tu esfuerzo, por el bien que tú buscas; ya sea que los seres humanos te vuelvan la espalda con indiferencia o se encaren contigo como enemigos; aunque nadie quisiera reconocerte o lo diera vergüenza reconocer aquello en que te es deudor; aunque hasta tu mejor amigo hubiera de negarte; si, con todo, en alguno de tus esfuerzos, en alguno de tus actos, en alguna de tus palabras, has tenido verdaderamente el amor como co-sabedor, consuélate, porque el amor permanece. Lo que tú sepas con él te será recordado para consuelo tuyo”.
Solemos decir que Dios nos conoce por dentro, que Él sabe cómo somos. Pero es un consuelo descubrir que es nuestra memoria, el que comparte nuestras inquietudes y nuestras luchas. El que impulsándonos a amar, guarda el mejor recuerdo de nuestro amor. Da lo mismo que nos vuelvan la espalda o que no nos reconozcan lo que hemos hecho. ¡Qué más da! Dios siempre está ahí. Ojalá sepamos buscarlo y encontrarlo con la misma pasión que María Magdalena, cuya fiesta celebrábamos ayer.
Confiemos plenamente en esa permanencia del Amor que ha vencido a la muerte y que es llamarada de fuego.
¡Feliz tú, porque ellos no tienen cómo retribuirte, y así tendrás tu recompensa en la resurrección de los justos!”.
