Domingo XIII del Tiempo Ordinario
(No lo recibieron porque se dirigía a Jerusalén)
Hoy, la lectura del evangelio tiene varios puntos que merecen la pena ser destacados. Vemos, en primer lugar, cómo Jesús, desde Galilea, tal vez desde su pueblo, Nazaret, se dirige a Jerusalén, y tiene que pasar por la región de Samaría. No olvidemos que los habitantes de esta región eran enemigos de los judíos. Como el camino es bastante largo, para hacerlo a pie, intentan buscar alojamiento. Pero, debido a esa enemistad que había por razones religiosas y políticas, no le da nadie alojamiento, “porque se dirigía a Jerusalén, el lugar religioso por excelencia, para los judíos, pero odiado por los samaritanos. Entonces viene la reacción violenta de algunos discípulos:”Señor ¿quieres que mandemos bajar fuego del cielo, que acabe con ellos?” Naturalmente, Jesús no compartió la idea, e incluso los regañó por violentos y vengativos. ¡Qué lejos estaban todavía para ser misericordiosos, para perdonar!
En este mismo viaje, durante el camino, uno le dijo:”Te seguiré adonde vayas” . Pero Jesús no era amigo de crear expectativas que luego se desvaneciesen como pompas de jabón. Y le pone las cosas claras: Mira que yo no tengo nada que ofrecerte, ni siquiera tengo una casa para descansar.
A otros, sin embargo, les invitó a seguirle, a ser sus discípulos. Peo se encontró con que tenían que hacer muchas cosas antes de dar el paso definitivo. Era un sí, pero…Tenían muchas cosas que hacer; todas ellas bastante razonables; pero no parecía que estuviesen demasiado dispuestos. Y Jesús, un tanto decepcionado, les dice:”el que pone la mano en el arado, y sigue mirando hacia atrás, no es apto para el reino de Dios”. Hay que ser más decidido, y prescindir de muchas cosas, tal vez lícitas, pero que no van bien para seguir a Jesús con prontitud y decisión.
Ante la decisión de ser seguidor de Jesús, no valen las medias tintas. Y ninguna cosa, por razonable que sea, pasa por encima de los intereses del Reino de Dios. Por eso hay tan pocos verdaderamente comprometidos.
