El circo de la Mariposa
Este fin de semana hemos tenido un encuentro de religiosos de los Sagrados Corazones. En uno de los momentos de descanso, un hermano me ha puesto en su ordenador el último trabajo cinematográfico de Eduardo Verástegui: “El Circo de la Mariposa”. Se trata de un canto a la dignidad humana por encima de las dificultades. Es la magia de creer que puede haber un mundo mejor si cada uno de nosotros somos mejores personas.
El coprotagonista es Nick Vujicic, un chico australiano de 27 años que nació sin brazos ni piernas.
Este corto, de 20 minutos de duración, puede ser muy útil para clases o grupos de reflexión en la fe, catequesis, etc. Por un lado se ve la importancia de la figura del educador, de aquel que es capaz de ir orientando, sacando lo mejor de sí mismos de los diferentes personajes, descubriendo sus posibilidades. Por otro lado, en el proceso de educación, el cambio se opera con el esfuerzo, con la valentía de cada uno. Es emocionante ver esa transformación en este trabajo de Eduardo Verástegui (protagonista de “Bella”), que ha ganado el primer premio del concurso de cortos “The Doorpost Film Project”. Este premio, de 100.000 dólares, reconoce la aportación del corto a la promoción de valores como la esperanza y la dignidad humana.
