Y llegó la Navidad
“Poco a poco, hila la vieja el copo”. Así reza el refrán; y así ha llegado la Navidad del Señor; poco a poco, en el trascurso de un Adviento, de unas semanas señaladas. Como llegó, poco a poco, a Belén, madurando en el seno de María. Y como llega a nuestros corazones, si están bien dispuestos.
Na-vi-dad tiene tres sílabas; y cada una trae un mensaje.
“NA”, de nacer de nuevo; de nada que no nos lleve a Él.
“VI”, de vida; de vivificar constantemente el espíritu.
“DAD”, de dádiva, donación de Dios a los hombres.
Lo negativo de la Navidad es lo que nos dice Juan en el prólogo de su Evangelio: “Se hizo hombre, y vino a los suyos, pero los suyos no lo recibieron”. Y la historia se repite. ¡Cuánta fiesta sin nada que festejar! ¡Cuántas “felices fiestas”, en medio de la infelicidad de tanta gente, por el egoísmo de otros!
Y, año tras año, celebrando sin sentido unas fechas llenas de sentido.
Y lo positivo de la Navidad, es lo que, también, dice San Juan: “Pero a cuantos lo recibieron les da poder para ser hijos de Dios, si creen en su nombre”.
Termino estas líneas con unas frases muy acertadas sobre lo que es la Navidad:
- La Navidad comienza en el corazón de Dios, y sólo está completa, cuando llega al corazón del hombre.
- Tal vez el mejor adorno de Navidad es una gran sonrisa.
- “Ojalá pudiésemos meter el espíritu de Navidad en jarros y abrir un jarro cada mes del año”
